Tournaments
CakePoker has many multi-table tournaments scheduled throughout the day. There are a lot of re-buy and add-on tournaments with fairly low buy-ins. You can find tournaments up to $50 daily, but the majority will be in the under $20 range. Cake also has the $100K weekly and $250K monthly tournaments that are now part of CardPlayers online poker player of the year standings.
Cake’s sit and go tournaments fill up pretty slowly and if you want to play in a sit and go with a buy-in over $25, Cake Poker isn’t the place for you. The sit and go action is starting to pick up, but Cake is mostly a cash game and scheduled tournaments poker room.
Cash Games
CakePoker low stake traffic for both hold’em and Omaha is quite good. You can find games in both of these game types up to $2/$4 blinds. There are some higher games as well, but the majority of action takes place in the low limits. The lowest Cake offers is $0.02/$0.04 and these are always filled up.
Competition
Cake’s competition level is below average. It’s not quite as bad as it used to be, when Cake had the reputation as the softest poker room online, but there are still high flop percentages and a lot of loose players to take advantage of.

Cake has smooth running software with no problems. Any problems that do occur are fixed quickly. There are 20 3D avatars to choose between, all of which look like real people. Cake has an easy to navigate lobby and resizable tables. Overall the software at Cake Poker is very good.
